"Winter Horses" I call them. Great, stoic beasts. They stay
out all winter and grow great shaggy
coats and manes. These photos were taken during a January snow storm.
I spent about a hour
with them and it seemed to go by so quickly but it got too cold for me out in
the 11°F weather to stay longer.
They just stood against the wind for the most part. But don't
worry, they had a nice warm area inside to go to with
an open door, they seemed to want to be out in the weather that day.
Beautiful, aren't they?

This one below came up to me so fast while I was focusing on another horse
that all I could do was turn and take his photo
without focusing - to much telephoto anyway for that close. All I could do
was rub a hand across his nose to brush off the snow.

They picked up speed as they headed back to the feeder and away
from the open, snow covered pasture.
